Lonesome Hollow

Night has long since fallen….
A blood moon rises in the west

While the fire keeps it’s crackling
Vigil over the mountain meadow
Loneliness creeps in
To share with me the night

Welcomed, we embrace
My faithful friend
Many nights have we been kin

The stars, but little comfort….
One looses it’s self

To streak across the night

She draws from me a smile
A memory of nights long past

As the darkness bids goodnight
I bed the past and drift off to Dream
